Our day begins with sunlight spilling through olive trees and a morning flow designed to awaken your body, heart, and mind. We will spend our days immersed in the natural surroundings of the Andalusia mountains with several included excursions to learn more about Spanish culture and customs. We will also offer several restorative yoga classes in the evenings to wind down, and a few fun (and informative) workshops interspersed throughout our time together. ​​And of course...we will indulge our senses with delicious Mediterranean inspired meals

Our home away from home: Los Algarrobles Center and Nature Reserve and supported by Lucia Yoga

Whitewashed villages serve as gateways to our yoga retreat center. Zahara de la Sierra is one of Andalusia’s most striking villages which sashays up a craggy to a castle-topped peak in the park’s northern reaches. Lucia Yoga has 5 swimming pools, a tennis court, gardens, terraces and hiking trails. Enjoy beautiful accommodations surrounded by nature. Hike to the Giant Dolmen from the Neolithic period and then cool off at our five outdoor pools with views of the sierra. This venue is a collection of charming Spanish villas nestled in Andalusia’s spectacular national park. We will have the whole venue to ourselves with plenty of space to be in community or take some solo time and mountain gaze.

Málaga is a vibrant city in southern Spain, nestled on the Costa del Sol in the Andalusia region with over 300 days of sun a year. It’s known for its beautiful beaches, historic sites, art scene, and lively atmosphere. You can expect a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters - making it a year-round destination. The city has seen Roman, Moorish, and Christian influences over the centuries. You can explore historical landmarks like the Alcazaba (a Moorish fortress), the Roman Theatre, and the Gibralfaro Castle with sweeping views over the city. Málaga is the birthplace of Pablo Picasso.
Meet Grace
Grace Millsap (she/they) is currently located in Charlotte, NC (Catawba Land). Her passions are rooted in science and equality, which inform her teaching of Yoga, and how she shows up in the world.
Grace studies, and teaches, from a long lineage that believes that life is inherently beautiful, and that the path of Yoga is a tool set to better navigate the many twists and turns.

Grace is a 500 ERYT, a YACEP provider, and an Ayurveda Wellness Counselor. Her classes, whether restorative or flow, are infused with her passions, and quest for magic and joy.

Retreat to Costa Rica was an amazing experience that really lifted me up & gave me space to breathe, practice self-care, and relax and/or be social with some great new friends. I am so grateful to have been able to attend & will definitely do it again! I loved being in paradise!
Truly amazing time. I found a grounding and a re-centering of my soul and consciousness. The workshop helped me grow as a person and feel more confident about who I am and how I live my life. Living from the heart can be scary, but also deeply rewarding.
Every detail of the trip was handled gracefully from the moment we landed at the airport to our departure. It was so nice to be able to come on vacation without having to plan out much of anything. You could tell they put a lot of hard work and consideration into planning this trip & I feel so grateful to have been a part of it. I look forward to traveling with them again!
The amount of love and planning that went into this retreat was so obvious. i appreciated all of the different forms of yoga we practiced, as well as gaining an understanding of the local culture. I swam in a waterfall, did yoga on the beach as the sun rose, pet some local puppies, rode horses as the sun set and I made friends that i hope to have for a lifetime. The past few years have been hard for almost all of the world, and what a gift to find some healing surrounded by such beauty and love.
The retreat was named Love, Yoga, Magic; and there was no shortage of any of those. From start to finish (and beyond) it was truly MAGIC.

Grace Millsap Yoga & Ayurveda, LLC (GMYA) is a small business with a big heart. This cancellation policy helps to cover our large financial investment with our local partners, which are non-refundable upon securing dates for retreats.
If you cancel in writing 90 days or more before travel: GMYA will hold the full amount paid on your behalf and reserve it as a credit for your use towards a future retreat within 24 months of your originally scheduled retreat dates.
If you cancel in writing 45 - 89 days before travel: GMYA will allow you to apply 50% of the total retreat cost to a future retreat within 24 months your originally scheduled retreat dates, however all other payments made will be lost.

Any cancellation less than 45 days ahead of the start of the retreat will lose ALL value paid.
